Pappas (February 14, 2022, 8:01 PM EST) – A Delaware bankruptcy judge on Monday declined to delay litigation of a $14 billion environmental liability lawsuit against YPF SA pending an appeal from one of its rulings before the Third Circuit, saying Argentina’s state-owned energy company had failed to show it would suffer harm if the case moved forward.
In a bench decision Monday, Judge Christopher S. Sontchi of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware also said YPF waited too long to seek a stay of summary judgment proceedings in its dispute with Maxus Liquidating Trust, l remaining entity of the bankruptcy of Subsidiary of YPF Maxus Energy Corp….
